Established in 1997, Cybermetric Technologies was founded by two computer enthusiasts who wanted to turn their hobbies into a rewarding career.

David Alexander, a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Virginia, has spent the past seven years working with a variety of DOS, Unix, and Windows based programming languages and databases. He became fascinated with the Web shortly after its development. Working with a simple text editor and paint program, he began developing Web pages. He found himself providing friends, family, and businesses with a variety of computer solutions. More recently, David has added Internet programming, graphic design and multimedia development to his computer skills.

Allen Hersker has spent the last seven years working with the public as an assistant manger and customer service representative. While studying business and communication in college, he discovered his talents by learning HTML shortly after the development of the World-Wide-Web. He expanded this expertise by taking Windows based programming courses, and learning graphic design, animation, and 3-D modeling. As a hobby and an active interest, he created Web sites and provided technical support for friends, family and businesses alike.

These two computer enthusiasts learned through "surfing" the Web and evaluating custom programming, that they had the same skills as large companies offering the same services. This realization led to the development of Cybermetric Technologies. This company provides businesses the opportunity to save money by charging reasonable rates for Web site development and custom software development. By doing this better at a much more affordable rate, they realized the potential to help lead their clients into the next century.

Today, Cybermetric Technologies has expanded to include four consultants who specialize in graphic design, 3-D modeling, programming, editing and other areas. By contracting work out to these specialists, Cybermetric Technologies can provide their clients better services at competitive rates in a more timely manner.
